Property Investment in Brisbane and Australia – What locations will show above average growth over next 5 years?

Property values combined across Australian capital cities have increased by a total of 40.5% and units rose by 42.2% for units over the last 5 years. Source RPDATA/ABS.  So which locations will show above average growth for property investment over the next 5 years?  Statistical experts say that these would be the locations that showed growth below the 45% range for last 5 years. Based on the graph below this would indicate that the two locations that would appear to be the stand out for property investment would be Sydney and Brisbane.

In a recent interview John Marasco from Colliers International said “property is working in a 7 year cycle at the moment our market is in recovery- this is where the opportunity is to buy and hold – look for property with growth rather than return and good infrastructure is key”. Brisbane’s Long Term Infrastructure Plan will see approximately $92 billion injected into the economy over the next 20 years.

Investors should defiantly be considering property investment in  Brisbane now for potential investment opportunities.
