It’s been just over two months since I hosted my workshop called The Road to Property Ownership for the first time in Sydney. Since then I’ve also taken the event to Brisbane and one thing has become apparent to me when it comes to Gen Y’s ambitions and dreams in relation to property investment.

A common, unfair portrayal of Gen Y is that they don’t want to invest in property because they’re all about living for the moment with little regard for long-term vision. I’m here to tell you that from my experiences meeting people from this age bracket across Australia, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

That’s why I’ve loved presenting The Road to Property Ownership. I’ve been able to show the next generation in Sydney and Brisbane how to get their foot in the door in a relatable manager given that I’m also in Gen Y. I’ve walked the talk too, as a Courier Mail profile on my clients Nick Wlodarczyk and Nathaneal Marhaba recently revealed.

Within the article highlighting how the couple recently bought their first home, I provided my top three tips for Gen Y investors looking to purchase property. These included having a clear strategy, contributing to consistent savings and understanding your personal debt. But this is all just the tip of an iceberg that I expand on in greater detail face-to-face at my workshop.

Which brings me to my next point. The third and final instalment of The Road to Property Ownership is being held on Tuesday May 23rd 2017 at the Rydges Hotel in Melbourne. Amongst many other insights, I’ll be teaching attendees in the Victorian capital that they don’t have to sacrifice their lifestyle in order to enter the property market.

Sure, property prices might be at an all-time high but many in Gen Y are still securing their future through property investment whilst simultaneously enjoying life. That’s why nothing would make me prouder than for one of the attendees at the Melbourne workshop to be the basis of a positive property story like Nick and Nathaneal were.

I can’t wait to meet Melbourne’s future property success stories in a few weeks on May 23rd!
